MP4-12C GT3 TO RACE
AT SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS

To mark this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, McLaren GT - the recently formed venture between McLaren Automotive and CRS Racing, delivered an upgraded version of its MP4-12C derived GT3 racer for a high speed run up the legendary hill-climb circuit.

Now, the MP4-12C GT3 will make its race debut this weekend in the Avon Tyres British GT Championship race at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. The 12C GT3 will be driven by CRS Racing Team Principal Andrew Kirkaldy and McLaren Automotive Chief Test Driver Chris Goodwin.


The MP4-12C GT3 is the first McLaren car built for racing outside of Formula 1 since the McLaren F1 GTR, and was unveiled earlier in the year to press at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking.

Immediately after launch the 12C GT3 was dispatched on an intense development programme at proving grounds and circuits across Europe, which will continue throughout the 2011 race season before delivering 20 cars to privateer teams for GT3 racing in Europe in 2012.
