Inspiring success on the track and road
At every turn, the openness, efficiency and engineering elegance of the McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) pushes everyone who works here to strive for the best in motorsport, engineering and sports cars, through ground-breaking innovation.
Walking with champions
As we walk to our restaurant for lunch, we pass the 1974 M23 which, with Emerson Fittipaldi at the wheel, gave McLaren its first F1 Drivers’ and Constructors’ titles; the Le Mans-winning McLaren F1 GTR; and the M8 – our 1970 Can-Am Drivers’ and Constructors’ championships-winning car. The Boulevard is the main thoroughfare in our building. It curves around the MTC’s glass walls, along which are some of McLaren’s legendary cars. Our trophies are also right next to our restaurant. Walking past them every day reminds us of our racing success and continually inspires us to innovate and win.
Striving for perfection, every day
Running the length of the boulevard, glass walls allow everyone who works here, and visitors, to see directly into our race bays. This is where our Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 team engineers work tirelessly to dismantle the cars, test and reassemble them, ready for the next race. For those not directly involved in the day-to-day racing operations, their passion and dedication are a reminder that everyone at McLaren must strive for victory – whichever department we work in.
